The new teaching concept, which in the 2022-23 school year will include the second and fifth grades, has again received criticism from education experts.

The professor, Avzi Mustafa, said that the primer of the second grade envisages that the students learn only the letters of writing and not the printing, as was usual for this grade.

As he said, this will cause difficulties for students and teachers.

"I now ask them, what do they want with handwritten letters, large and small, because there is no one who writes letters, everything that is seen and perceived by the students is written in print letters, the books are letters of the press, subtitles on television with letters of the press, various advertisements and I do not know where is the goal of that group of experts, what they thought and how they will realize it and what they will achieve.

Handwriting requires more work, more commitment, I can get to the point where the student is not interested", said Avzi Mustafa, professor.

Professor Mustafa also expresses his outrage about the small number of mother tongue lessons, five hours a week.

Unlike Macedonia, Albania has 10 to 12 hours a week of mother tongue, while Kosovo has 8 or 10 hours a week.

According to him, the small number of hours will cause stagnation in writing and reading.

"In order to have a student who will know how to read, recite and write beautifully, we must have more hours, of course.

At least 10 hours of native language are needed to be able to acquire it.

I don't know the reasons why there are so few hours, to the detriment of the mother tongue, which is the basis where they should be directed, they are given a very small number of lessons", said Avzi Mustafa, professor.

Digital board, computer, digital equipment such as camera, telephone, television or radio, but also logic boards, garden tools and many others, are only part of the equipment that the second grade students will need to carry out the program plan educational.

The Education Development Bureau has already published the curricula for second and fifth grade subjects, while the Ministry of Education and Science is awaiting the publication of new texts for these subjects./Alsat/
