The Kinnar Kalyan Board has said that identity cards will be issued to transgenders on August 8 in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh.

So that they can take advantage of various schemes of Uttar Pradesh government.

After the board meeting at Prayagraj Circuit House, Kaushalya Nand Giri said that this exercise has been started to bring transgenders into the mainstream of the society.

Giri said that the work of making identity cards has started in Prayagraj and till now three eunuchs have been issued in the district.

He said that free education would be provided to transgender children and a separate five-bed ward for transgenders would also be created in each hospital.

He said that a separate cell would be set up in the police stations to listen to the problems of eunuchs and toilets would be arranged for them in public places.

Giri said that the exact number of eunuchs will be ascertained and their information will be sent to the state government so that schemes for their welfare can be started and implemented properly.


Let us tell you that the Yogi Adityanath government has formed a 'Kinnar Kalyan Board' in the state to look into their problems.
