New Delhi:

Delhi University latest News: Students of the Law Faculty of Delhi University on Monday staged a protest demanding postponement of their exams and change in the date sheet to ensure adequate gap between the two papers.

The students gathered outside the administration office of the Campus Law Center and raised slogans.

The students claimed that their online classes are still going on as their syllabus is yet to be completed.

Despite this, the semester examination is going to start from 10th August 2022 i.e. tomorrow.

Shakti Singh, a second year student in the law faculty, said, "Around 200 students protested and raised their demands. This is the third consecutive day that we are on hunger strike. One student also fell yesterday during the protest."

The student said, "We want the exam to be postponed for a week so that there is enough time to prepare. The university is not paying any attention to our demands."

Another second year student, Swapnil Gupta, claimed that he had earlier contacted the administration through phone calls and emails, but did not get any response.

"We expected the administration office to talk to us about our demands on Monday, but no one was present in the office. We emailed them our demands, but got no response," he said.

Earlier, Dean of Examination DS Rawat had said that the date of examination was mentioned in the academic calendar issued to the students before the start of the semester.
