The deputy in the parliament of Ukraine, Oleksiy Goncharenko, has shown how he submitted to the state assembly in Kiev, the draft law by which his country should accept the independence of Kosovo.

"Before February 24, some said that if Ukraine accepts Kosovo, then Russia can justify what was happening in Crimea and Donbas.

But after February 24, the whole world has already understood that it is only an invasion of Russia and not the true will of the people.

I think the time has come for Ukraine to accept Kosovo", said Goncharenko for Klan Kosova.

The legislator of the European Solidarity party, of the former president Petro Poroshenko, says that the "Verkhovna Rada", as the Ukrainian assembly is called, has not met yet to discuss the draft law.

But in principle he says that his idea is finding more support than opposition and is one of the most discussed public topics in Ukraine.

"I stated that Ukraine should support Kosovo, maybe even militarily if necessary.

Then I received many orders from the Serbs everywhere, including some threats.

But it's not too late for me, the Russians twice so far have planned to kill me, and once to kidnap me.

So these threats are simply nothing."

Goncharenko adds that the comparison of the case of Kosovo's declaration of independence by Moscow to justify the occupation of Ukrainian territories does not hold up.

"In general, Serbia is acting as Putin's tool, so this is not a big deal.

The whole world is understanding and seeing that a clear invasion is taking place in our country, a part of which is occupied and genocide is being committed there.

So the situation in our country is not the same as in Kosovo," added the lawmaker who spoke from the city of Odesa, where he lives with his family.
