"Anyone between the ages of 18 and 65 can be a donor. In addition, there is a weight limit for those who want to be a donor. Therefore, it is not recommended for people weighing less than 50 kilograms to donate blood."

APA reports that hematologist Shahla Shabanova, specialist-expert of the Ministry of Health, said this.

According to him, the donor can give blood again every 3 months at the earliest, because the life of an erythrocyte, which is a red blood cell, is about 90-120 days:

"Before donating blood, it is important to have a good sleep and breakfast. It is recommended to take sweet tea, compote, mineral water, jam, bread, vegetables and fruits during meals. It is also recommended not to engage in intensive physical work on the day of donating blood. Follow these rules especially when donating platelets or plasma."
