Some families were having a picnic on the shore when the water in the river was low

Madhya Pradesh News: In Khargone district of Madhya Pradesh, 14 cars were washed away in the sudden flood in Katkoot river near Barwah, out of which 3 cars were swept away.

Actually, some families who came from Indore were having a picnic on the banks when the water in the river was low, when the water level in the river increased.

The sudden floods did not give them a chance to recover.

Everyone hastily left their belongings in the river and ran away.

Their cars and belongings were washed away like straw in the strong current of water.

Police said on Monday that however, no casualty was reported in the incident.

The incident happened on Sunday afternoon.

As soon as the information of the incident was received, a crowd of villagers gathered on the spot, who helped these people.

Cars stuck in the river were pulled out with the help of tractors and ropes.

According to the police, people of Indore had come here to party with women and children since morning, during which suddenly the water in the river increased from the upper area.

People did not even get a chance to take out the car.

Three vehicles have been washed away while some vehicles are stuck in the water.

Additional Superintendent of Police Jitendra Singh Pawar said that the incident took place on Sunday evening near Sukri river in Katkoot forest under Balwara police station area when a group of people from Indore were having a picnic there.

The flood occurred due to the water falling in the forests near village Okhla and Akaya and the cars parked on the banks of the river were washed away in the water.

He told that when people had come for picnic, the water in the river was less and some people were even driving cars around the river.

About 50 children, women and youths of Indore district, who were having a picnic, came to the high places in time, due to which their lives were saved.

He told that on Sundays, people often come from Indore district to visit Hanuman and Shiva temples near Okhla and have picnics in the dense forests.
