"Things related to the Recovery and Sustainability Plan were not adopted at a good pace", said the acting Deputy Prime Minister for European funds management Atanas Pekanov on BNT.

"Instead of 22, only one law has been adopted. The next parliament will have to start by voting on these texts. I have already had meetings with several ministers to start working on them. Among them are the Law on Public Procurement, the law on personal bankruptcy and others" , Pekanov pointed out.

Atanas Pekanov assumed the position of Deputy Prime Minister for the management of European funds

"When the National Assembly is formed, I will make an effort to convince the deputies that they must adopt these texts urgently. Bulgaria has not received any money under the plan so far. The first payment is about to be made ", said the Deputy Prime Minister.

"We continue with all the actions on the European programs, I will also work on the subject of the OECD and the entry into the Eurozone, so that next year we can be fully prepared. Bulgaria must not remain on the periphery of Europe," said Pekanov.

According to him, Bulgaria should not remain on the periphery of Europe, but should be in all central processes, and he would personally work for our country to enter the Eurozone as quickly as possible.

"We are in a very serious crisis and we have to make a lot of efforts," he concluded.
