The Israel Defense Forces announced the elimination of Khaled Mansour, one of the military commanders of the Islamic Jihad group, in the Gaza Strip.

Mansur was considered the second most important commander in the group.

Khaled Mansour was responsible for the group's activities in the southern part of the Gaza Strip.

Taysir al-Jabari, who was killed on Friday, was in charge of midnight.

Along with Mansour, his deputy Ziyad Madalal and brigade commander Khatab Amasi were killed.

On the night from Saturday to Sunday, the Israeli army continued the operation "Dawn", aimed at eliminating the militants of "Islamic Jihad".

According to the announcement of the Israeli command, it was possible to hit about 140 military targets, including the underground tunnels from which the terrorist attacks were carried out.

From the territory of the Gaza Strip, since the beginning of the "Dawn" operation on Friday, 580 rockets have been fired at Israel.

120 of them fell in the Gaza Strip itself, about 200 were intercepted by the Israeli anti-missile defense system "Iron Dome".

According to the Ministry of Health of the Gaza Strip, 32 residents, including six children, have died there since the beginning of the "Dawn" operation.

Some of them died as a result of explosions of rockets fired at Israel, which did not reach the target.

According to the latest information, at least 203 people were injured.

On Monday, the UN Security Council will hold an extraordinary meeting dedicated to the escalation of the conflict in the Gaza Strip.
