A Pakistani suspected of murdering his girlfriend in Greece was discovered and arrested last night in North Macedonia, along with a group of illegal migrants, and handed over to the Greek authorities.

According to the Information Agency of Macedonia, the 20-year-old Pakistani was the main suspect in the murder of his 17-year-old girlfriend, which happened on Tuesday in a neighborhood of Athens, and since then he has been missing.

Through the close and continuous cooperation of the police of both countries, it resulted in the arrest of the Pakistani suspect.

The Greek Ministry of Civil Defense announced that it had information that the suspect was located in the north of Greece, with the aim of escaping to one of the Central European countries.

The police authorities in the north of Greece have immediately contacted the relevant services from the Balkan countries and there has been continuous and close cooperation, as well as border crossing controls have been strengthened.

As a result of intensified checks, a group of illegal immigrants was discovered in North Macedonia, and it was found that the suspected perpetrator of the serious murder was among them.

The Pakistani has now been handed over to the Greek authorities and the Minister of Civil Defense of Greece, Takis Theodorikakos, announced through social networks that "the suspect for the murder of 17-year-old Nikoleta in Athens will be brought before the court.
