Dismissed employees of the Kozloduy NPP signal that they are being pressured to hurry up with the deadlines for completing the planned annual repairs.

This, they say, can lead to human error and accidents.

Kozloduy NPP refused to comment on the subject.

The Nuclear Regulatory Agency says that they regularly check the work at the plant and ensure the safe operation of the facilities and the work process.

Former Kozloduy NPP employee Biser Mitkov told BNT:

we are human and we also make mistakes and this leads to things that have never happened at Kozloduy NPP.

For example, last year, due to such a human error, we shut down block 5.
