In addition, the visitors of the exhibition dedicated to the work of Rami Meir, an Israeli artist of mountain Jewish descent originally from Baku, will be presented with two tattoo panels, examples of fine art, carpets made on the basis of the plots of Meir's paintings within the framework of the joint project of Rami Meir Art and "Azerkhalcha" OJSC, in wood carving technique. executed sculptures, light installations, samples of ancient jewelry, decorative-applied art objects and weapons of the Mountain Jews from Rami Meir's personal collection were displayed.

The film and booklet prepared specially for the opening of the exhibition tell the audience about the multifaceted creativity of the artist, his close relations with Azerbaijan, and a detective story related to this exhibition of Ramin is revealed.

It is reported that this exhibition should have been opened 40 years ago in the "Azerbaijan" pavilion of the National Exhibition and Convention Center.


So, in 1982, young Rami started preparing for the exhibition that will be held in the Azerbaijan pavilion at the National Exhibition and Convention Center a year later.

All the works - about 20 panels in the technique of jewelry chasing on copper, which the author painstakingly worked on, are stolen during transport.

Only two works, which were not sent to the exhibition by chance, were preserved, the artist exhibited his works and later gave them as a gift to his bride.

Now, after 40 years, Rami Meir returns to the same Azerbaijan pavilion with a new exhibition.

At this exhibition, the audience will see the panels "The Supremacy of the Rose" and "The Battle of the Gladiators" - the only works that testify to the creative pursuits and successes of the young artist at that time.

The exhibition will continue until October 30, 2022.

It should be noted that in 2020 and 2021, Rami Meir's exhibitions were successfully held in Moscow - at the State Oriental Museum and in Baku - at the Azerbaijan National Carpet Museum.

In addition, the work "Caucasian beauties" from the "Mountain Jews" series was presented at the "Florence Art Deposit Gallery" in Florence.

In 2022, together with "Azerkhalcha" OJSC, "Carpets as art" will be held at the Azerbaijan Tourism Bureau in Tel Aviv.
