The Deputy Prime Minister of Kosovo, Besnik Bislimi, has shown other details of the situation created regarding the implementation of reciprocity with Serbia for identity cards and license plates, which caused the reaction of the Serbs in the north of Kosovo, last Sunday.

Bislimi declares that Kosovo has responded to the letter of Josep Borrell, High Representative of the EU for Foreign and Security Policy, explaining to him that the information campaign for the Serbian citizens of Kosovo has existed and where almost every citizen has been informed about the measure.

"We told (Borrell vj) that we can then discuss the possibility of postponement for another month to accommodate his concern.

Meanwhile, for the entry/exit document, we have shown that in fact we do not need an information campaign since this measure is not imposed on the citizens of Kosovo, but is imposed on the citizens of Serbia entering Kosovo and there is no need for any preparatory measures by these citizens, since they don't have to show something or give something for delivery, but they receive a document, which means the northern Serbs are not affected by this decision", said Bislimi in an interview for RTK.

Bislimi explains that official Brussels has had completely artificial worries.

"It seems that Mr. Borrell was not satisfied with this answer.

Then we had a visit from Hovenier, which I think was a very well-intentioned visit and wanted to diminish the non-principled commitment of the European Union.

It was said there that under no circumstances does the international community require a review of the measures", explains Bislimi.

"The international community is fully aware that Kosovo is fully right and is implementing the measures that have already been agreed upon, that Kosovo has fulfilled all its obligations in this case, but that we must also take the last argument of the Serbian side for passive resistance".

Explaining this part, Bislimi says that when talking about the Serbian side, the distinction must be made that all the riots that Vučić stages, in the countries of the region, he disguises under the idea of revolts of local citizens.

"It has now been made known to everyone that there are no revolts of local citizens, but they are revolts staged and orchestrated by the center in Belgrade and Vucic himself", says Bislimi, according to whom this 30-day period was also requested. so that then the citizens in the north of Kosovo are correctly informed about the manipulations and instrumentalization that Belgrade is doing to them.

"For the record, Borrell sent a letter this morning, shortly before his departure for Cambodia.

But, we have said that this letter, which is sent through non-official means of communication, must be formalized, that is, it must come in an official way", explains Deputy Prime Minister Bislimi.

"But then we noticed something strange.

There were big differences between the wording in the first (non-official) letter and the official letter sent by Mr. Borrell," says Bislimi.

"We have an index as to why this happened, but we will use it at certain moments during the talks in Brussels," he said.

He further says that this mistake can be translated into an advantage for Kosovo, then at certain moments.

Bislimi says that from this communication, there were no more contacts with Brussels, except for the meeting that Prime Minister Kurti had with Tomas Szunyog, head of the EU Office in Kosovo.

"It is possible that the request for the commitment of the United States of America also came from Brussels, but we do not know this", says Bislimi.
