Jurist Durim Berisha has said that the administrative instruction created 12 years ago to ban the veil in schools is a violation of the code of ethics and discipline.

Throughout this, he has compared other countries and the conditions they enable in this regard.

Berisha has compared the administrative instruction of the Republic of Kosovo that prohibits the headscarf in schools with that of Germany.

Invited to RTV Dukagjini, Berisha said that the administrative instruction created 12 years ago for wearing the veil, which refers to the veil as a "religious uniform", is a violation of the code of ethics and discipline.

At the same time, according to him, the instruction equates the veil with drug addiction.

He has compared this instruction with the way it is implemented in Germany.

"In addition to what is allowed in Germany, there is also a decision of the Constitutional Court regarding the state to model clothes in the physical education where swimming is taught.

In contrast to the fact that here we don't even have drinking water, there swimming lessons are an important issue", said Berisha.

The head of education in Kosovo, Arbërie Nagavci, has spoken about the administrative instruction that prohibits the headscarf in schools.

Nagavci said that the right to education is right according to the Constitution and cannot be denied to any child.

Asked again to give a definitive answer as to whether female headscarves should be admitted to schools or not, Minister Nagavci again did not give a clear answer, saying that "there are regulations and laws that regulate this issue and that they are in power, and children have to go to school, and the problem for me is why the discussion is about girls and girls' clothing."
