The construction of the Horadiz-Jabrayil-Zengilan-Aghband highway (Zengazur Corridor), which was founded by the presidents of Azerbaijan and Turkey and has a length of 123.6 kilometers, is being rapidly continued.

APA informs that the highway was designed starting from the village of Ahmadbeyli in Fuzuli and is being built according to international highway standards as technical grade I.

The first 77.5 km section of the road has 6 lanes, and the remaining 46.1 km section has 4 lanes.

The width of the road bed corresponding to the traffic lanes is 29.5 and 21.5 meters, respectively.

The overall percentage of completion of works on the project is 57%: - 166 out of 265 circular pipes have already been built, and work is ongoing on 39;

- 18 out of 42 rectangular pipes have been built, work is ongoing on 9;

- 19 out of 56 underpasses have been built, work is ongoing on 25;

- The construction of 28 of the 63 service pipes intended for spare passages has been completed, work is ongoing on 11;

- 19 out of 23 bridges are currently under construction.

Road surface construction works are being continued in the 44-48 km sections, while drilling, filling and construction of artificial facilities are being continued in the 25.9-115 km section.

Along the road, 3 car tunnels with a total length of 6 km and tentatively named T1, T2 and T3 are being built.

The completion of works on tunnels is 37%.

Excavation and concrete spraying of the T1 tunnel with an average length of 1020 meters have been completed.

Belt concrete (40 cm) works on the left direction of the 1007-meter-long T1 tunnel were completed at a distance of 550 meters, belt concrete (40 cm) works on the right direction of the 1033-meter long T1 tunnel were completed at a distance of 444 meters.

The average length of T2 tunnel is 1822 meters, the total length is 985.5 meters in the left direction, and the total length is 1166 in the right direction.

Excavation and spraying concrete works at a distance of 35 meters have been completed.

Excavation and spraying concrete works have been completed for 1398 meters on the left side and 1433 meters on the right side of the T3 tunnel with an average length of 3170 meters.
