Analyzing the probable actions of the enemy, we have created a complex system that involves targeting the enemy on distant approaches and in the closest depth of his battle formations," said Siarhei Naev after visiting the Northern operational zone.

According to him, in this direction, the armed forces work together with units of the border service, the National Guard, the police and the Security Service of Ukraine.

"All together, they carry out planned measures to make the actions of enemy forces impossible.

This applies both to countering sabotage and intelligence groups, and to repelling a possible enemy attack," added Siarhei Naev.


"I am sure that the enemy will not pass in this direction again.

We are doing everything possible to make this confidence real," said the commander of the joint forces of Ukraine, Siarhei Naev.

On the morning of August 4, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that the Armed Forces of Belarus were conducting a combat readiness check of the units of the special operations forces.

"In the Volyn and Polesk directions, the units of the Armed Forces of Belarus are carrying out the task of strengthening the protection of the section of the Belarusian-Ukrainian border in the Brest and Gomel regions.

The units of the special operations forces of the Armed Forces of Belarus were tested for combat readiness," the morning summary of the General Staff reads.

Last week, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine announced that Belarus had again extended the deadline for checking the combat readiness of the Armed Forces (now until August 6) "in order to restrain the actions of the Defense Forces."

Belarus is not a direct participant in Russia's full-scale war in Ukraine, but provides logistical support to the Russian invasion, which began on February 24, when some Russian troops entered Ukraine through the Belarusian border.
