The Baku City State Traffic Police Department appealed to the citizens regarding the "Neftchi" - "Rapid" game.

In response to APA's inquiry, the chief inspector of the department, police major Araz Askerli, said that fans should prefer public transport when coming to the area where the game is held:

"Today, in the first match of the III qualifying round of the UEFA Conference League, Azerbaijan's "Neftchi" club will meet Austria's "Rapid" at the "Bakcell Arena" stadium located in Nizami district of Baku at 21:00.

In advance, we wish success to our home team "Neftchi" club.

As you know, "Bakcell Arena" stadium is convenient for public transport.

Thus, the presence of the metro station "Friendship of Peoples" in the area, the creation of full conditions for the movement of buses, meets all transport needs.

We ask the residents and fans of the capital, who come to watch our team's game, to use public transport in that area."

The chief inspector drew attention to the fact that any traffic congestion on the roads can hinder citizens using that area.

If necessary, this may require changing the directions of traffic and temporarily closing the streets parallel to and crossing the "Bakcell Arena" stadium.

"Once again, we recommend to prefer public transport and to arrive at the venue of the game 1 hour before," said the DYP official.
