The Committee for Security and Defense Affairs has discussed parliamentary diplomacy in the field of security.

In today's meeting, the chairman Bekë Berisha brought the proposals for meetings on this matter, for which he did not receive the support of some of the members of the Vetëvendosje Movement.

He said that the security of the country is important in recent days, stressing the need to discuss parliamentary diplomacy in the field of security.

"Security is among the most important things these days, currently, in Kosovo.

You know what situation we are in on the front line.

We are raising children here, I can't wait for anyone.

It's like a one-time idea, it's approved by everyone's consensus.

This is not done unilaterally", said Berisha.

LVV MP Enver Dugolli disagreed with this, saying that parliamentary diplomacy in the field of security cannot be handled by the Security Affairs Committee.

"What you are saying and have in the paper, what you want to achieve with this, does not fall into the domain of our commission at all.

We are going beyond the mandate and I am not for the commission to go beyond the mandate we have, despite the interest we have.

Regarding foreign affairs issues, these are not issues that our committee deals with.

It is the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Commission for Foreign Affairs, it is called to deal with issues of foreign affairs, including security, culture, sports, economy.

We deal with security issues and we have no right to interfere and take the primacy of these issues, because it is another commission.

We cannot call ambassadors, because they do not respond to us", said Dugolli.

However, the deputy of the LVV, Shqipe Selimi, agreed to this proposal of the president Bekë Berisha.

Berisha: Do the rest of you listen to Enver?

Selimi: We are individual MPs, we have a position.

Berisha: I know what they say, but don't listen to them all early, the intention is good?

PDK MP Rashit Qalaj agreed with Berisha's proposal.

After this discussion, it was requested that the committee meeting continue behind closed doors to discuss the issue of parliamentary diplomacy in the field of security. KP/Telegrafi/
