The Cuban Foreign Minister, Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, received this Thursday his Serbian counterpart, Nikola Selaković, who is on an official visit to Cuba from Wednesday to Friday, August 5.

During the meeting, the diplomats discussed the positive state of bilateral diplomatic relations, which will be 120 years old on November 4 this year.

Other topics they addressed were cooperation in the fields of biotechnology, culture, sports and tourism;

the identification of other sectors of common interest and the international situation.

The Serbian foreign minister stated that Serbia and Cuba have maintained a close friendship, even in difficult times.

The Serbian delegation at the meeting was made up of His Excellency Mr. Vladimir Maric, Deputy Minister for Bilateral Affairs of the Serbian Foreign Ministry;

Danilo Pantovic, ambassador to Cuba;

Marko Blagojevic, adviser to the minister, and Ivan Jaksic, special adviser to the minister.

On the Cuban side were present the General Director of Multilateral Affairs and International Law, Rodolfo Benítez Verson;

the general director of Bilateral Affairs, Ángel Villa Hernández;

and the director of Europe and Canada, Gisela García Rivera, among other Minrex officials.
