Aggressive attitude of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi

New Delhi :

Congress MP Rahul Gandhi today accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of conspiring to silence him and other opposition voices by using central agencies.

He claimed that the government was making full use of pressure tactics.

Gandhi was questioned by the Enforcement Directorate in June in a money laundering case for nearly 50 hours over five days.

His mother and Congress President Sonia Gandhi were also questioned by the central agency in connection with the alleged money laundering involving the National Herald newspaper.

"If you are talking about National Herald, then the whole matter is of intimidation. Narendra Modi and Amit Shah feel that with a little pressure we will be silent. But we will not let that happen. Narendra Modi and Amit Shah who Whatever has to be done against democracy, do it," said Rahul Gandhi.

Rahul Gandhi was talking to reporters before attending a meeting of the Congress Parliamentary Party after the Enforcement Directorate sealed the office of Young Indian in Delhi over a case related to the National Herald.

Rahul Gandhi said, "He will continue to fight to protect the country and democracy and to maintain harmony."

Referring to a BJP allegation, the Congress leader said, "Who is talking about running away, they are talking about running away.

We are not afraid.

We are not afraid of Narendra Modi.

Do what has to be done.

Doesn't matter."

He said, "My job is to protect the country, protect democracy, maintain harmony in the country, I will continue to do that..."

It is noteworthy that the Enforcement Directorate, as part of its action in the money laundering case, on Wednesday 'temporarily sealed' the premises of 'Young Indian' company in 'National Herald' office in Delhi.

The Congress claimed that the Delhi Police surrounded its headquarters, the residences of party president Sonia Gandhi and former president Rahul Gandhi.

He has also accused the government of misusing the ED.

Earlier, the ED had questioned Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi in the same money laundering case related to 'National Herald'.
