The deputy of the Democratic League of Kosovo, Armend Zemaj, stated today that the European Union cannot be blamed for the lack of visa liberalization for Kosovo, as according to him, the heads of state are also to blame.

Zemaj said in the session of the Assembly that there is a reason for the non-liberalization of visas, while adding that the current governors had lost this opportunity to the country a few years ago.

"Even we as a parliamentary group are expressing concern about the lack of visa liberalization.

We cannot blame the EU alone, but it was made impossible by some figures who are at the head of the state.

Today is a favorable situation to conclude the issue of visas.

Voices within the EU say that the process must return to zero.

It is unforgivable for the Government if such a thing happens", he said.

The opposition deputy also mentioned the violent protests, the throwing of Molotov cocktails at the country's institutions, as the reason for the non-liberalization of visas.

"Even with some other officials in the obstacle that was made to the ratification of the demarcation agreement with Montenegro, other forms called political tools were also used, from tear gas, violence expressed in the Assembly, by throwing various things outside her, violent protests and throwing Molotov cocktails at the country's institutions", said Zemaj.
