A strong fire, which broke out yesterday and covered a wide area around the Bosnian town of Neum, has not yet been brought under control, said the spokesperson of the Civil Defense in the Hercegovina-Neretva Canton, Pero Pavlovic, quoted by the Klix information site.

The wildfire, fanned by the strong wind, threatens residential areas, private and public business facilities, Pavlovic told Klix.

"The fire line is huge and the strong winds are making it difficult to put out the fire," he said.
