At least three people died as a result of an explosion at an explosives factory in France, AP reported.

"The explosion took place today in the town of Bergerac, in the southern department of Dordogne. Police, fire and police teams arrived at the scene," added the quoted media.

The Manuco plant is owned by the ordnance company Eurenco.

It is included in the list of strictly guarded sites," the AP also pointed out.
