Corruption charges against two former senior Delhi Metro officials

New Delhi:

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has registered a case against two former senior Delhi Metro officials on corruption charges.

The action has been taken against Executive Director Prashant Rao and Deputy General Manager Madanlal for alleged corruption in awarding the contract for fiber optical transmission systems to a private company in 2013, officials said.

Tejas Networks Limited, a private company that won the contract for setting up fiber optical transmission systems and wide area network system for Phase III of the Metro, has also been named in the FIR, he said.
