The Ambassador of Great Britain in Pristina, Nicholas Abbott, has made a statement after the meeting he held in the Government building with Deputy Prime Minister Besnik Bislimi.

In a post on Facebook, Abbott wrote that he and Bislim had a useful discussion about energy security, the economy and recent events - referring to the situation in the north of the country.

"A useful discussion with Deputy Prime Minister Besnik Bislimi on energy security, economy and recent events", he said.

According to the ambassador, it is important that Kosovo engages with the citizens and the international community regarding the situation during the winter in terms of energy.

The Government of Kosovo announced the meeting through a media release.

"Deputy Prime Minister Bislimi and Ambassador Abbott talked about the developments of the last few days in the north of Kosovo and about the Government's decision to postpone on September 1, 2022, both decisions on the registration of license plates in the RKS and entry-exit documents, dated June 29, 2022 , in coordination with American and European international factors".

 "Also, part of the conversation was the current global energy situation and the rapid increase in the price of energy imports, where Deputy Prime Minister Bislimi also spoke about the support measures for citizens approved by the Government regarding the emergency in energy supply", the announcement states. .

On the other hand, the American ambassador in Pristina, Jeff Hovenier, was received today in a meeting by Prime Minister Albin Kurti, but the details have not been disclosed yet.
