A massive fire has engulfed a warehouse near Moscow, killing at least one person and injuring 13 people, while two people are missing, officials said, the Associated Press reported, citing BTA.

The fire raging at the warehouse belonging to leading Russian online retailer Ozon has affected an area of ​​50,000 square meters. Huge plumes of black smoke are rising into the sky over the area near the city of Istra, northwest of Moscow.

Russia's Emergencies Ministry said 150 firefighters and three firefighting helicopters were involved in efforts to extinguish the fire.

Authorities have not said what caused the fire, but the RIA Novosti news agency reported that investigators were looking at arson as the most likely cause.
