This is the biggest setback for the terrorist organization since the killing of al-Qaeda founder Osama bin Laden in 2011.

US President Joe Biden said on a TV show that justice had been done and he hoped that Zawahiri's death would bring relief to the families of the 3,000 victims of the 9/11 attacks in America.

Al Qaeda's Osama bin Laden was the mastermind of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attack in America and was one of the world's most wanted terrorists.

In 2011, Zawahiri got the command of Al Qaeda.

Now after the death of Zawahiri, the terrorist organization has a leadership crisis.

According to the Middle East Institute,

now the command of Al Qaeda can go to Saif al-Adel.

This former Egyptian military officer is one of the founding members of Al Qaeda.

According to US intelligence agencies, Saif al-Adel had also joined the terrorist group Maktab al-Khidmat in the 1980s.

Al-Adel met bin Laden and Ayan al-Zawahiri during this time and joined their group Egyptian Islamic Jihad (EIJ). It also fought a war against Russian forces in the 1980s.

Saif al-Adel was once the security chief of Osama bin Laden.

A reward of $10 million has also been announced for giving information about him.

The agency's page on al-Qaeda says al-Adel is being sought for conspiracy to kill American citizens.

He is also accused of destroying America's National Defense Utilities.

According to an old ABC report, US forces have been searching for Saif al-Adel since 1993 when he ambushed US forces and helicopters in Mogadishu, Somalia.

18 Americans were killed in this Black Hawk Down accident.

Al-Adel was 30 years old at the time.

According to many reports, after the death of bin Laden, al-Adel has become the main strategist of al Qaeda.

However, according to the Middle East Institute, making him the head of the terrorist organization would be complicated because of his presence in Iran.

Al-Adel has been in Iran since the Black Hawk Down incident.

According to the institute, at least three al-Qaeda affiliates in recent years have questioned the credibility of instructions from Saif al-Adel.
