The former Minister of Foreign Affairs in North Macedonia, Ilinka Mitreva, has passed away.

The news was announced by the Social Democratic League of Macedonia.

"Sincere condolences to the family of the prematurely deceased Ilinka Mitreva, former member of parliament from the ranks of the SDSM and Minister of Foreign Affairs", the announcement of the SDSM states, among other things.

Ilinka Mitreva was born on February 11, 1950 in Skopje.

After graduating from the Faculty of Philology in Skopje - Romanian philology group in 1973, he obtained a master's degree at the Faculty of Philology in Belgrade, and then also obtained a doctorate at the Faculty of Philology in Skopje.

From 1974 to 2001, she worked as a junior assistant, professor and head of the Department of Romanian Language and Literature at the Faculty of Philology in Skopje.

She is a professor of French literature at the Department of Romanian Language and Literature from November 23, 2001 to October 31, 2022. Mitreva is the author of many scientific works.
