The head of the Prosecutor's Office for the Prosecution of Organized Crime, Villma Ruskovska, contests the report prepared by the Public Prosecutor's Office of Lubomir Joveski, regarding the raid in the Financial Police Directorate.

Ruskovska told "Alsat" that the public prosecutor has no legal right to intervene in the handling of the specific case.

Previously, the Public Prosecution has announced that it has found irregularities in the prosecutors who have checked the work of Arafat Muarem.

From there they add that certain information was requested from the prosecutors, but Ruskovska denies that she too was called to give a statement.

"Only one of the public prosecutors acted on duty and provided the required information.

Refusal to provide the information required to determine the facts of the treatment of the concrete case supports the suspicion of inconsistency in action", say PTHP.

"No, I was not asked to give a statement", said Vilma Ruskovska - Head of the Prosecutor's Office for the Prosecution of Organized Crime.

Furthermore, the Basic Public Prosecution announces that the persons of the Directorate on whom the raid was carried out have police authorizations, therefore, only the Department specialized for the prosecution of criminal offenses committed by persons with police authorizations can act for them.

"According to this, the three public prosecutors from the Basic Public Prosecution for the prosecution of organized crime and corruption who acted in this case while they are not part of the specialized Department, acted without competence regarding the criminal complaint.

The public prosecutor of the Republic of North Macedonia indicates that the case should be placed in the relevant register and given according to the schedule to the public prosecutor, who is organized in the specialized department", said PTHP.

"The question arises whether the director has police powers, considering that he is appointed by the Government.

However, the matter can be transferred from one register to another and this is legal", emphasized Villma Ruskoska- head of the Prosecutor's Office for the prosecution of organized crime.

PTHP has confirmed irregularities even during the search request, which was approved by the competent judge.

"The anonymous criminal report and the concrete findings in it, without being supported by any evidence or other means, may be the reason for the initiation of the criminal procedure, but this does not ensure a certain level of reliability that traces of the criminal offense or cases of important for the criminal procedure to have grounds for the search of the premises of the state body or the search of the person", said PTHP.

"The court, not the public prosecutor, decides whether there is a basis for issuing a search warrant.

If someone has assessed that the raid is illegal, they can submit a complaint to the Criminal Council of the court.

As far as I know, such a complaint has not been submitted", emphasized Villma Ruskoska - head of the Prosecutor's Office for the prosecution of organized crime.

Joveski has today obliged Ruskovska to thoroughly investigate the action on this matter and to hand over the information about the omissions and the facts for possible responsibility./Alsat/
