Heavy rain caused floods in Edirne, reported the Turkish television TRT Haber.

The downpour that started last night has created difficulties in road transport in the city.

Streets and boulevards are flooded. 

The rain also flooded some shops on Zubeide Hanam Blvd., and citizens have alerted the authorities about a dangerous building that is at risk of collapsing after the downpour.  

Torrential rain caused major flooding in northeastern Turkey

Teams of the Directorate for Disaster and Emergency Management (AFAD) and fire brigades were sent to the scene and cordoned off the area around the building.

The valya of Odrin Husein Kurshat Kurbayk also arrived to familiarize himself with the situation.
