It is raining in different parts of the country as a result of southwest monsoon.

It is raining heavily in many states, due to which the situation of flood has arisen.

Also many areas have been submerged.

According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of heavy rain and thundershower at isolated places in Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, Telangana and Coastal Karnataka between August 1 and 4.

According to the forecast of the Meteorological Department, heavy rainfall in South Interior Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, Kerala and Mahe during 31 July to 01 August, Rayalaseema during 31 July to 04 August and North Interior Karnataka and Lakshadweep during 02-04 August Might be possible.

At the same time, there is a possibility of very heavy rain in Rayalaseema on August 01.

Here, Coastal Karnataka, Kerala and Mahe during 01 to 04 August;

There is a possibility of rain in South Interior Karnataka during 02-04 August and Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal during 31 July to 04 August 2022.

Apart from these states, the national capital is expected to receive light to moderate rain and generally cloudy sky for the next five days.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) gave this information in a bulletin on Saturday.

The city's temperature dropped due to light rain on Saturday morning and the maximum temperature was recorded at 32.5 degrees Celsius, which was two degrees below normal, the department said.

The minimum temperature was 24.5 degrees Celsius, which was three degrees below normal.

Meanwhile, incessant rains in many parts of Uttarakhand on Saturday led to landslides at many places in the hilly areas, resulting in the blockade of over 250 roads, including the national highways leading to Badrinath and Kedarnath.

According to the State Disaster Control Room, six residential houses in Dharchula were damaged, but no casualties were reported as people had already been shifted to safer places. 

Kumaon scouts helped the Pithoragarh administration to evacuate 53 people from 17 houses in Dharchula to safer places.

The Meteorological Department has said that during the next few days, there is a possibility of heavy rain at isolated places in the hills and plains of the state.
