Patna:

Union Home Minister Amit Shah reached Bihar's capital Patna on Sunday and addressed BJP workers.

Shah appealed to the workers to work together to ensure Prime Minister Narendra Modi's another victory in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.

Shah addressed the concluding session of the first joint national executive meeting of all seven fronts of the BJP.

He asked the workers to raise public awareness about Modi's political support for weaker sections like Dalits, Adivasis and Other Backward Classes (OBCs) at the booth level.

BJP national general secretary Arun Singh said, Shah asked the workers to dedicate four days from August 9 to 12 to spread the spirit of patriotism in view of the Amrit Mahotsav.

Singh said the party workers have also been asked to start preparing for the 2024 elections and ensure the return of Prime Minister Modi to power for the third time in a row.

He has been given a target of winning more seats than last time.

In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, the BJP had won more than 300 seats, giving its best performance.

Singh said that Shah also asked the workers to apprise the common people about facts such as the best representation of SCs, STs and OBCs in the Union Cabinet till date.

The representation of people from rural background has also increased.

Referring to the election of Draupadi Murmu as the President, the BJP general secretary said that Shah emphasized that the BJP believes in representing the interests of all sections of the society.
