The ED team is interrogating Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut at his residence.

Mumbai:

Enforcement Directorate (ED) team has reached the house of Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut in Mumbai.

Sanjay Raut did not appear before the investigating agency even after being called twice in the Patra Chawl land scam case.

This is the reason that the ED team has reached his house early this morning.

Sanjay Raut got furious over the action of ED.

He tweeted after the team reached his house and said, "Maharashtra and Shiv Sena will keep fighting." Raut said that, "I will not leave Shiv Sena even now." Raut wrote in another tweet, " False action, false evidence, I will not leave Shiv Sena, will not leave till my last breath.

Sanjay Raut tweeted that, "I have no connection with any scam.

I swear by Balasaheb Thackeray.

He taught us to fight.

Will keep fighting for Shiv Sena.

Shiv Sena workers have gathered outside the residence of party leader Sanjay Raut as the Enforcement Directorate's search operation began.

Shiv Sena spokesperson Anand Dubey said, "This is a political action to silence Sanjay Raut.

The country is watching everything.

The public will answer it."

On the other hand BJP MLA Ram Kadam released a video.

He said in it that, "If the Shiv Sena leader has not rigged any money, then when the ED officers called him for investigation three days ago, why did he not go?

What is the reason for avoiding questions from officers?

He has time to hold press conferences in the morning, afternoon and evening, but he does not have time to answer questions from ED officials.

Does the country not know the truth about this?

This is a changed India.

Be it leader, actor, industrialist, small or big, all are equal before the law in this India.

The law will take its own course."

Enforcement Directorate officials reached the residence of Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut at around 7 am today.

He is being questioned by Raut in the Patra Chal land scam case.

There are also CRPF officers with the team of the investigating agency.

This team has reached Sanjay Raut's house in Bhandup, an eastern suburb of Mumbai this morning.

In the Patra Chal land scam case, three ED teams are searching at different places.

One of these teams has reached Sanjay Raut's Mumbai residence.

Sanjay Raut had recorded his statement on July 1.

Then he was interrogated for 10 hours.

He was later summoned on July 20 and again on July 27.

Then Raut had said that he would not appear before the ED for the time being due to the ongoing Parliament session.

He had said that he would be able to appear only after August 7.

According to the ED, an agreement was signed between the Society, MHADA and Guru Ashish Construction Company for the rehabilitation of 672 families of Patra Chal.

The directors of Guru Ashish company were Rakesh Wadhawan, Sarang Wadhawan and Praveen Raut of HDIL.

The company is accused of misguiding MHADA, first selling the FSI to 9 other builders and depositing 901 crores, then starting a new project named Meadows and collecting Rs 138 crores in the name of flat booking.

But 672 original tenants were not given their houses.

In this way the company made 1039.79 crores.

The ED alleges that HDIL later gave Rs 100 crore to Praveen Raut, director of Guru Ashish Company, out of which Praveen Raut gave Rs 55 lakh to Sanjay Raut's wife Varsha Raut, which is part of money laundering.
