Twitter is testing a new feature that allows users to attach different forms of different images within a single tweet.

With this feature, a user can add a photo, video and a GIF within a tweet.

Those who have used Twitter for a while would know that until now the company has only supported adding one form of image to a post.

While you could add 4 photos, you could not add more than one video or GIF, or even add them alongside the photos, Telegrafi reports.

With this update, the limit of adding four images remains, but you can now combine photos, videos, and GIFs within those four available spaces.

Speaking to GSMArena, Twitter said: “We're testing a new feature with certain accounts for a limited time that will allow people to combine up to four types of images within a single tweet. regardless of the format".

"We're seeing that people are having more and more visual conversations within Twitter, and using photos, GIFs and videos to make these conversations more enjoyable.

With this test, we hope to teach people how to combine these different forms of images in order to express themselves more creatively within Twitter, beyond the 280 character limit,” they added.

As is usually the case with Twitter testing, this feature is available to certain accounts in certain regions.

It's still unknown when this feature will be available to everyone, if at all.
