A 67-year-old Bulgarian, who had been wanted for several days, was found dead this morning in the Greek part of the Mesta River near the town of Xanthi, reports the Greek Telegraph Agency.

The Bulgarian citizen, together with a group of friends, were fishing along the river in Greece.

The man tried to cross the water and disappeared from the sight of his friends.

They notified the authorities.
