New Delhi:

Delhi Lieutenant Governor Vinay Kumar Saxena has directed the Anti-Corruption Branch (ACB) to probe the corruption and collusion of officials of the Transport Department with auto financiers/unauthorized dealers and touts in the Burari Transport Authority.

The directions come in the wake of the Delhi High Court's order on a criminal writ petition filed by several auto rickshaw unions of Delhi, alleging rampant corruption in RTOs and harassment of auto rickshaw drivers.

This is not the first case that there is a tussle between the Lieutenant Governor of Delhi and the Chief Minister.

Earlier, the LG of Delhi had decided to file a complaint of corruption in the excise policy with the CBI.

Hundreds of BJP workers also demonstrated outside the bungalow of Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia regarding the excise policy.

Union ministers, including the Delhi BJP president, leveled allegations against the Aam Aadmi Party.

Here the Aam Aadmi Party alleges that like Satyendra Jain, BJP wants to send Deputy CM Manish Sisodia to jail by implicating him in false cases.

A few days ago, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal himself had accused BJP that BJP can send an honest man like Manish Sisodia to jail.

Delhi government's clarification is that there is no corruption in the new excise policy.
