Joe Biden and Xi Jinping set about meeting face-to-face over the phone

US President Joe Biden and his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping talked about having a face-to-face meeting on a phone call on Thursday.

This will be his first meeting with Xi Jinping after Joe Biden became president.

The US official said on condition of anonymity that the two leaders discussed the value of meeting face-to-face.

Officials on both sides will now find a time that will be acceptable to both sides for a one-on-one meeting between US President Joe Biden and Chinese President Xi Jinping.

1. Russo-Ukraine War

Joe Biden's meeting with Xi Jinping is going to be special in many ways.

During the Russo-Ukraine war, China has so far stood on Russia's side.

In such a situation, there will be an effort from America, engaged in the campaign to isolate Russia in the world, to prepare China to make distance from Russia.

For this, the US can propose to make some concessions in the sanctions imposed on China, in order to put pressure on Russia in Ukraine, in return, America would like China to limit relations with Russia.

2. Taiwan and China

At the same time, the pressure of China is increasing on Taiwan.

China is not able to accept the existence of Taiwan as a separate country and every day there is a threat to Taiwan that China will forcibly end the separate identity of Taiwan.

After Russia's attack on Ukraine, fears of China's occupation of Taiwan have increased more than ever.

On the one hand, where America talks about standing with Taiwan on this matter, on the other hand China cautions America against interfering in Taiwan.

3. Trade tensions

Even before Corona, the conflict between the US and China had reached its peak to prove its power in the world. After this, due to China's dominance in the supply chain during the lockdown, America also suffered.

4. Human Rights and Sanctions

America imposed sanctions on China on many issues of Uighur Muslims and human rights.

There were allegations of conspiracy from the US on China over the spread of coronavirus.

Tibet has also been a dispute between the US and China regarding democracy in Hong Kong.

5. Indo-Pacific Region and Economy

China and America have been constantly showing eyes to each other to dominate the Indo-Pacific region.

China's efforts to rein in China's increasing aggression in the Indo-Pacific do not go down well with China.

On the other hand, the quad alliance of America, Australia, India and Japan is also not being embraced by China.

Recently, there were reports of many shocks to the Chinese economy and many experts in America are also speculating about a recession.

In the midst of such an environment, many of these issues can be discussed in the meeting of top leaders of America and China.

It may not be possible to solve all the issues immediately, but Russia and India will definitely have a close eye on this meeting.
