On August 28, 2020, the trial of the criminal case opened in connection with the attempted murder committed in Zabrat settlement of Sabunchu district of Baku city has ended.

APA TV reports with reference to "Qafqazinfo" that in the trial held at the Baku Court of Serious Crimes, Taleh Azizov, a resident of Sharur district, born in 1985 (first and last names are conditional), tried to kill his former business partner and friend Azer Abbasov out of jealousy and after the incident it was known that he crossed to Iran by secret means.

During the investigation, it was revealed that Taleh and Azer were friends and established a home construction business together.

They built and sold individual residential houses in different places.

During this period, Taleh owed Azer a large amount of debt and their relationship broke down.

Also, since Taleh changed his apartment, Azer had a hard time finding him.

After that, Azer started writing to Taleh's wife's phone, and a love relationship developed between them.

Azer Abbasov, who testified in court, said that he wrote to Taleh's wife in order to determine her location: "I have known Taleh since 2018.

We owed each other about our work.

At the beginning of 2019, we had a conflict over a debt issue, and I ended the business relationship with him.

I had a debt of 52 thousand manats.

When I demanded the debt from Taleh, he started hiding and not answering my calls.

After that, I found the house where Taleh lived and went to his house and waited.

I waited for him in front of the house and approached him when Fateh left the house.

We went to a teahouse together and talked about it, he promised to pay the debt.

But he started hiding again to avoid paying the debt.

During this time, he was contacting me with his wife's number.

Since this number is the only number where I can contact Taleh, I used to write to this number every time.

As we corresponded with his wife, we developed a relationship.

Later, Fateh learned about our relationship and took it in a different way.

On the day of the incident, Taleh's father complained to the Narimanov District Police Department that I allegedly sold them a house with a fake document.

After knowing this, I called Taleh and requested him to withdraw his complaint.

But then he didn't pick up the phone, so I went to his house.

When he got home, his wife said from behind the door that Taleh was not at home.

When I left the house and went to the car, Taleh came from behind and hit me with a knife."

Taleh Azizov told the court that after suspecting the relationship between his wife and Azer, he downloaded a program on the woman's phone and saw that they were having a love relationship.

He laid an ambush near his house and waited for Azer to come to his house and planned to kill him as soon as the conditions arose.

Taleh's wife also admitted that there was a love relationship between her and Azer.

He said that he ran away and hid in different addresses for several days because he was afraid that Taleh would kill him after the incident.

After the incident, Taleh Azizov left Azerbaijan secretly.

Iranian border guards caught him and the accused, who remained in prison in Iran for almost 5 months, was later handed over to Azerbaijan.

At the end of the trial, Taleh Azizova was sentenced to 7 years, 10 months and 15 days in prison.
