A Dutchman managed to deceive a woman from Plovdiv and steal more than 52,000 euros from her, writes "Maritsa".

He and the naïve lady met through an internet application.

After several months of communication in the application and personal meetings, the two decided to live together in Plovdiv, in the woman's apartment.

After establishing that he had won the victim's trust, the Dutchman proceeded to implement his action plan: to motivate her to sell her apartment, then give him the amount received from the sale.

The deceitful Don Juan told her about Africa, that he spent part of his life there, that he was extremely happy.

He proposed to marry her and live together on the exotic continent.

The Plovdiv woman was over the moon with happiness, took the bait, sold the apartment, and transferred most of the money - 52,165 euros - to his account.

However, while they were at a hotel in the capital, the charming impostor spit on his heels.

He told his lady he had work and was going out for a while.

He dumped her in the hotel room and never showed up again.

The Plovdiv woman tried to contact the Dutchman, but without success.

Shortly after, she realized that she had been deceived and filed a report.

This is how the prosecutor's office issued an indictment.

The case is scheduled to start on August 1 with a preliminary hearing.
