Several civilians died in clashes between Russian and Ukrainian forces in the Donetsk region, its Ukrainian regional governor Pavlo Kirilenko said today, BTA reports.

In his Telegram post, Kirilenko reported that three people were killed and nine were wounded in territory under Ukrainian control.

People died in the villages of Krasnohorivka, Mariinka and Soledar.

"There is no populated place in Donetsk region that is not shelled or is safe or relatively safe," the regional governor said in another televised statement.
