In Bihar, 20 people have died in eight districts due to lightning incidents from late Monday evening to Tuesday.

Seven people died in Kaimur, 4 each in Bhojpur and Patna, one each in Jehanabad, Rohtas, Aurangabad, Arwal and Siwan due to lightning. 

Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has expressed deep condolences to the affected families on the death of people due to lightning in the state.

He said that he is with the affected families in this hour of disaster. 

Along with this, the Chief Minister has instructed to give an ex-gratia amount of Rs. 

The Chief Minister has appealed to the people that everyone should take full vigil in bad weather and stay indoors in bad weather.
