The Minister of Economy, Kreshnik Bekteshi, is in Tirana at the opening of the plenary meeting of the intergovernmental working groups, which today and tomorrow will discuss more detailed implementation of the agreements reached within the framework of the Open Balkans.

Minister Bekteshi wrote on Facebook that in the conditions of the world energy crisis, the regional connection for greater energy security and energy stability is the biggest focus of the Government of North Macedonia.

He adds that our country has a key role in the regional energy connection and with new investments and infrastructural projects of the countries of the "Open Balkans" wide economic potentials are opening up, primarily by investing in capital projects in the electricity network .

Bekteshi points out that North Macedonia is working intensively on connecting gas pipelines with Greece, Kosovo, Albania and Serbia, and the plan is to build another gas pipeline with Bulgaria in the next period.

While specifying that the connection project with Albania through the railway line will also be realized.
