"S&P Global Ratings" international rating agency announced its forecast on current account surplus in Azerbaijan.

"APA-Economics" reports with reference to the Agency that in 2022, the surplus of the current account of the balance of payments of Azerbaijan will be 23.6% of the GDP (the January forecast is 10.8% of the GDP).

This is the highest indicator in recent years.

S&P estimates that the current account surplus will be 13.8% of GDP (4.5% of GDP) in 2023. 0.7% of GDP in 2024. Deficit at the level of i (surplus at the level of 0.2% of GDP), deficit at the level of 1.4% of GDP in 2025 (deficit at the level of 0.5% of GDP) is predicted.
