They admitted that the attack was carried out by the Russian military, but insist that it was aimed at military facilities.

Zakharova stated in her Telegram channel that the Russian Kalibr missiles hit the Ukrainian military boat.

"Caliber missiles destroyed the object of the military infrastructure of the Odesa port, sending a Ukrainian military boat to the address favored by the Kiev regime with a high-precision strike," writes Zakharova.

The Russian Ministry of Defense commented on the strike for the first time more than a day after it was carried out.

As reported by the agency, "a Ukrainian warship and a warehouse of Harpoon missiles were destroyed by high-precision missiles in the Odessa seaport on the territory of the ship repair plant."

Earlier, VDTRK journalist and State Duma deputy Yevgeny Popov said in an interview with the BBC Newshour program that the target of the Russian strike was the missile systems, which, according to him, were located in the port.

At the same time, Popov did not mention the boat, and Zakharova - about missile systems.

Turkish Defense Minister Hulusi Akar said the day before that the Russian side assured him that it had no relation to the strike.

He has not yet commented on the latest statements of Russian representatives.

Earlier, the Ministry of Defense of Russia admitted that the Russian military had launched two missile strikes, which recently resulted in large casualties among the civilian population, in Kremenchug and Vinnytsia.

In both cases, the Ministry of Defense justified the strikes by saying that they were carried out for military purposes.

According to the Ukrainian side, as a result of a rocket attack on Saturday, the infrastructure of the port was damaged, and a fire broke out in the port.

The Ukrainian side does not mention the alleged destruction of the boat or missile systems.

In connection with the missile attack, Ukraine accused Russia of trying to undermine the agreement signed on Friday in Istanbul on the export of grain from the Black Sea ports.

The strike came a day after Ukraine, Russia, Turkey and the UN signed an agreement on the export of Ukrainian grain, in which the warring parties pledged not to fire at facilities related to grain exports, including the ports of Odessa, Chernomorsk and Yuzhny.

The attack on Odessa, among others, was condemned by the US ambassador to Kyiv, Bridget Brink, and the US State Department.
