The Kosovo police have given details about today's event in Baks i Skenderaj, where a fight ended with the use of firearms, in which case one person lost his life and two were injured.

Regarding the case, the police have arrested a suspect for involvement in this case, two locations have also been raided, where the police have seized two weapons.

In the announcement of the Police it is stated that "today, July 23, 2022, the police in Skenderaj received the information about gunshots in the village of Baks in Skenderaj".

Upon receiving the information, all competent police units have come to the scene of the incident.

"From the first information from the scene, it was understood that several people were involved in the case, where as a result of the gunshots, three people were injured.

Two people were sent for medical treatment to KKMF-Skenderaj, where one of them died as a result of gunshot wounds and the doctor in charge confirmed his death, while the other injured person was transferred for medical treatment to the University Clinical Hospital Service of Kosovo (SHSKUK) in Pristina", the announcement states, Telegrafi reports.

"Meanwhile, the police was informed that another person had sought medical treatment at the KKMF in Drenas and after the initial medical treatment, accompanied by the police, he was sent for further treatment to the SHSKUK and is under police supervision, since according to the initial information, he may be potential suspect in this case".

"Another person has also been arrested and will be interviewed as a person suspected of being involved in this case."

It is further stated that "The Regional Investigation Unit has raided two locations and seized two weapons: an AK-47 automatic weapon and a hunting rifle."

"The Regional Investigations Unit together with the state prosecutor are at the scene where the examination of the scene is being done and all the necessary procedural actions will be taken to fully clarify the circumstances of this case," the announcement states. .
