Rescue teams found the victims amid ongoing Russian attacks in eastern Ukraine.

The victims were the result of yesterday's attack on densely populated areas in Kharkiv, Ukraine's second largest city, in which 23 were injured.

President Volodymyr Zelensky's office announced that Russian shelling destroyed a school in Kramatorsk, and 85 residential buildings were damaged.

Ukraine's rescue service said its workers had finished their work at the school attacked on Thursday and found the bodies of three victims there.

"The Russian strikes on schools and hospitals are very painful and reflect their true goal of turning peaceful cities into rubble," said Donetsk Oblast Governor Pavlo Kirilenko.

Igor Konashenkov, the Russian defense ministry spokesman, however, said the Russian strike killed around 300 Ukrainian soldiers who were using the 23rd school in Kramatorsk as their base.

He also reported that the Russians had destroyed an ammunition depot of the Ukrainian forces in the industrial zone of the city of Nikolaev.

Konashenkov added that he heard that Russian forces had destroyed four Hymars multiple-launch rocket launchers delivered by the US to Ukraine between July 5 and 20.

Washington has said it has so far delivered 12 Hymars batteries and is preparing to add four more.
