Industrialist Mukesh Ambani and his family members will continue to get security.

The Supreme Court has allowed the central government to continue providing security cover to Mukesh Ambani and his family members in Mumbai.

Along with this, the court has canceled the hearing in the Tripura High Court against giving security to Mukesh Ambani and his family.

While ordering the continuation of the security given to Mukesh Ambani and his family by the Central Government, the CJI bench said that there is no justification to continue the ongoing hearing in the Tripura High Court against the security given.

In fact, a PIL challenging the security cover to industrialist Mukesh Ambani and his family members in Mumbai was filed in the Tripura High Court. 

In this case, the High Court had directed the Central Government to present the original file kept with the Ministry of Home Affairs, on the basis of which security was provided to the Ambani family.

Also, against whom the Central Government had filed a petition in the Supreme Court. 

In fact, the Center had filed a petition in the Supreme Court against the hearing by the Tripura High Court on the PIL challenging the protection provided by the Maharashtra government on the assessment of threat perception by the Center and sought stay of the High Court hearing. 

Solicitor General Tushar Mehta told the court that the security provided to the industrialist and the family has nothing to do with the Tripura government and the High Court has no jurisdiction to entertain the PIL.
