Since the beginning of the Russian-instigated full-scale war, Iran has openly declared its neutrality and advocated a ceasefire and a political and diplomatic solution.

APA reports that this was stated in the statement of Oleg Nikolenko, the spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.

He noted that the Ukrainian side is worried about the change in the rhetoric of the Iranian leadership.

"Any accusation of preparing an attack on the Russian Federation is baseless and manipulative.

We call on the Iranian side to refrain from statements or actions that would incite the aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine," the MFA official stressed.

It should be noted that Iranian Supreme Leader Seyyed Ali Khamenei said in a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Tehran two days ago that if NATO had not been prevented, they would have started a war using Crimea as an excuse after some time.
