The Directorate for the Investigation of Trafficking in Human Beings calls for children not to be given money or alms.

In addition to this, the Director has said that the other problems they are facing are permits without criteria for massage centers, businesses in which, according to them, criminal offenses are being committed.

"Letters even if you have a work contract"... these are the requirements of the Kosovo Police, for the employees of the massage centers, who are obliged to follow the police order.

Based on the documentation, it appears that Albanian citizens also work in these countries.

Not infrequently, it is reported that paid sexual services are also offered.

For six months, according to official data, the Kosovo Police has arrested 8 people for the criminal offense of providing sexual services to victims of trafficking.

During this period, six victims exploited for prostitution were identified.

As for the massage centers, the police say that the work permits that are issued without any criteria remain a problem.

"...we have sent an official letter to the Ministry of Industry, Entrepreneurship and Trade to take a step in terms of granting permission to be regulated in terms of granting permission to these centers.

This is because behind this law without having any criteria to open such a business, criminal offenses are easily hidden", said Riza Murati, Kosovo Police.

Meanwhile, for human trafficking, the Police has made 102 arrests in six months.

Even child beggars are victims identified according to these data.

For the January-June period, the Police recorded only one victim of this category.

In order to avoid these cases, Riza Murati from the Human Trafficking Investigation Directorate says that citizens can also make a valuable contribution.

"Lectures were held in more than 700 mosques in Kosovo to prevent trafficking in general, but in particular the part where these children should not be given was lectured.

We citizens must treat you with dignity, give you food or clothing, water and other things.

But in no way should we give money to these children", he added.

On Wednesday, the report of the American Department of State was published on human trafficking for Kosovo.

For Kosovo, 22 victims are said to have been identified, of which 19 were victims of sexual trafficking and three of forced begging.
