A tourist on the beach of Katerini in Greece found a pair of beach shorts tangled with seaweed, photographed them but did not take them from the seashore.

He showed the photo to the Water Rescue unit, who for 13 days have been searching for the citizen of North Macedonia, Martin, who was pulled by the sea current on the Greek coast.

Hopes for finding new traces of the boy from Skopje returned again, after the family members claimed that the beach pants were the same as those worn by Martini in his last photo, taken on the day of his disappearance in the sea. Aegean.

The search for 31-year-old Martin Jovanovski in Halkidiki is still ongoing, while his two friends Vasil and Ivan were rescued.

"A citizen, when he saw the shorts tangled in seaweed on the beach of Katerina, only took a picture of them, but did not hold them to check, so the rescuers from OFKATH spent yesterday searching in that area but we didn't find anything else, even the pants that were washed ashore were washed away by the sea waves", said Christor Ramos, head of the OFKATH rescue service.

Specifically, the search for rescuers by raft was directed towards Korinos, Pydna, Alykes Kitrou up to the mouth of Axios by the sea, but no sign of Martin was found.

For the search for Martin so far, the Greek coastal services have been engaged with rescuers, ships and drones, Macedonian citizens have also been mobilized in Halkidiki who have voluntarily joined the search.

So far, all searches are unsuccessful, but active.
