In the last 24 hours in Europe, the share of electricity produced by wind plants was 11.1 percent.

This is according to data from today's WindEurope Power Numbers newsletter.

Of this, 8.5 percent or 710 gigawatt hours is electricity from onshore wind farms, and 2.6 percent or 219 gigawatt hours is "offshore" wind power.

With the largest share of wind energy are Denmark (59 percent), Greece (37 percent) and Germany (22 percent), and the most electricity generated by wind in the last 24 hours was in Germany (322 gigawatt hours), Great Britain (119 gigawatts) and Spain (105 gigawatts), the reference also points out.
